At 100lbs and 5 feet, I doubt you are fat.
You may have some fat tissue and not be toned, but that is normal. You were texted to say that? Sounds like your friend is being controlling and you deserve better than that. Don't start your life being in relationships with controlling people- it may feel secure but its no life- trust me.
maybe your friend saw you eating something they classed as bad foods and got worried. Maybe their mother or a significant female in their life is overweight and it scares em: but those arent your problems. Maybe they dont want you to look better than them.
Maybe you need to tone your muscles. Doing regular exercise will keep things in shape, and healthy eating, including enough water (2 litres a day), no smoking and low alcohol intake will all help, but remember that women were meant to be curvy and soft... If your belly lets you "pinch an inch" ( a roll of fat) then doing sit ups or curls will tone those muscles- but remember women are supposed to be soft and fluffy!!!
Young women are often insecure about their appearance, and are very sensitive to comments people make- especially when they want the person to care about them and be friends with them. You want to please your friend and have nice things between you... they knows this and might be taking advantage of it.
Different men have different perceptions of what a beautiful woman is- some like bums, some like boobs, some like skinny sticks, some like bigger girls, some like blonds, some like short hair- but just be who you are meant to be.
You can ask your friend why they think you are fat. Maybe ask what she thinks you should look like. Ask what they might do if you don't change. Find out her height and weight and put it in that calculator. Maybe they are sick with anorexia and see the whole world as fat.
In real friendship, its not what you look like that matters. IN real friendships, you care about feelings and you talk to people in a loving kind and supportive way, always thinking about how to help not hurt. But, the real question here is "are you fat".
You have to first think about your build- the way your bones are built. At 5 feet, I would say its likely you are petite. Are your wrists thick or thin? Petite people weigh a little less than big boned people, but there is only one way to really tell- and its the ways doctors and nurses do it. The way doctors and nurses tell if you are fat is through your BMI: body mass index. There are tables and calculation pages:
http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/
Entering in your weight, and your height- it comes out with 19.5... at 18.5 you would actually be on the verge of underweight. The higher your BMI, the more fat you are- it relates how much area you have against how much weight.
Maybe they don't appreciate the fact that you have a soft round tummy, or curvy legs or hips. Its the way you as a young woman should be shaped and there is nothing wrong with you- don't take the judgement to heart. You are perfectly balanced height to weight. In fact you could deal with adding a pound or two! Maybe your friend is afriad of the womanly shape that means you are growing up.
Honey, I am an old lady, big and fat- and if I were you, I would see your friend as too fat between the ears to be worth the time and effort a lovely, gentle-spirited and sweet young lady like yourself might waste. There is nothing wrong with you but bad taste in bff's.
There are many others out there who will appreciate you more. Not only to say you are fat- but to do it by text- it was neither respectful nor loving. Your "friend" needs a boot up the behind. How tall is she and how much does she weigh???
Sorry to say unkind things about your friend, but you are at an age where the decision you make now will affect your whole life- look at the pain anorexia causes.
If these answers don't help- and look at all of them saying the same thing!- I suggest you talk to a significant adult in your life, and get their advice before this affects you too much- you are vulnerable and this could cause serious health problems if you try to lose weight. You are so close to being underweight...If you lost just 6 pounds you would be classsed as underweight- and if you remain underweight, your periods might go wrong and your body might start to have problems! Your body needs fat because it lets you process vitamins and certain hormones that you need. Make an appointment to see the nurse in your doctor's practice; for a week before you go, keep a diary of everything you eat and when, then show her. Ask her if you need to eat differently or if you need to lose weight. Maybe she can give some advice about improvements in your diet- but I can guarantee that the last thing in the world she is going to say to you is that you are too fat. .
Please text your friend and tell her you plan on losing quite a bit of weight- every ounce of HER! You're beautiful- don't change a thing. Not to please some jealous, cruel person who would ratather hurt a friend by text than talk to them in a helpful and supportive way. You may be just writing this to get the security of a bunch of people telling you that you are slender, but if you are that woprried about your size that you would write such a thing, then you need to hear all the positives you have been sent.
I'm much bigger than you... being skinny doesn't make you happy. And being too skinny doesn't make you healthy, either. And the kinds of friends you need are the ones who say "Of COURSE your bum doesn't look big in that... but how about we skip the curry and have a salad?"- there is enough pain out in the world without it coming from friends.
Let us kow how it goes, please?

You need another bff. This one is trying to play head games with you. Sometimes the only way someone can feel good about themselves is to make someone else feel bad. She's doing it to you!

At your height and shape, you should be weighing in between 104 to 115 pounds. If anything, you are underweight, but not unhealthily so.
Personally, I think you're pretty cute. :D
