see, I am a bit of a loner, although I hate being alone. But I have reasons not to trust others. why is it that "loners" are looked down on?

Never-the two are on opposite ends of the spectrum. A loner is a person alone by choice. A looser is alone because no one can stand to be around them. If a loner chooses to be around someone people flock to their presence because they are usually reflective, intelligent, thoughtful, insightful people with strong emotions. Myself alone because I am protecting those emotions from further harm. It sounds like you also. But when we choose to allow someone to enter our world, we give freely and openly. That my dear is NOT a loser.

I am a loner as well, but I am definitely NOT a loser. Having lots of friends is a good thing, but some people just don't trust others or don't especially like socializing. I have a friend that always wants me to go to parties with her and I have no interest in going. But that does not make me a loser. Maybe you should get out there and give people another chance. There ARE some good people out there.

loners need not the company of another soul to enjoy themselves or to have happyness. but when the time for support comes, the are usually alone. some may stand strong and beat down the 'cool' people. but most loners lack the ability to stand for themselves with no friends or support.

my bro's a loner. people diss him.
im a loner. i break noses.

see what i mean?

and some people ('cool') cannot live without putting someone down. and who better than the ones with no support. would you fight a guy who had 10 friends to back him up? or a guy with no one?

just common sense. target the loner.

cheers. you need friends only if you want them. not because others say you should have them.

Shame

You can be a loner and be very successful without the headache of dealing with others. You can be a loser and have a bunch of loser buddies and lose out together. So, I don't think loner=loser.

loners aren't losers, never was, loners are type of people that preffer not to socialize for different reason. for example: If i see that conversation with someone goes nowhere i'll try to stop and ignore because it mental drainage.

second, sometimes people talk just to waste the airspace.

i think that it's mostly losers that are looked down on. the difference is losers want friends but no one likes them and loners don't like people so they chose not to be with them

Loners aren't losers. They are just folks who can amuse themselves without the need for others around.

Most are very empathic also and will always sense the energy behind the emotions of others they are around. You tend to keep to yourself if you are capable of that.

no, I like loners,
I'm attracted to loners [particularly only men though]
because they have this mystery in them and
quiet sexual appeal ; ]
I'm already funny and bold as it is, I don't want a special someone
that can make me laugh, I need someone that
I can make laugh and bright up ♥
and the characteristics of your typical loner
can only do so
