The cloning process require the destruction of the genetic material inherent in an embryo, which is then implanted with other genetic material from the person being cloned.
So the basic objection is you are sacrificing a unique genetic make-up to clone an human being.
Cloning a human does not impart most of the unique properties of the host into the clone only the biological markers are present, most of what makes us who we choose to be is learned or environmental, so cloning humans doesn't really have a viable purpose.

Although I think it would be a good idea for animals, humans are a lot more complicated and involve moral issues. Once there is a clone of someone how will it be used? Given a scenario like "The Island", do we want to clone living people only for a legalized organ-harvesting industry? This is the only reason human clones would be used, any other reasons should be restricted due to overpopulation.

well...some might say the cost of caring for two or three babies at the same time--because as you know, twining (and tripleting) is natural human cloning (of which, we don't yet know the mechanism for why this occurs...but i digress).
the problem with artificial cloning is the implications to self identity and social stratification.
organ harvesting can be done without cloning an entire organism...however, if there is the ability to clone a whole person, why not make a clone to replace say, a child that had died...will this cloned child be allowed to live it's own life without expectations of being exactly like the dead child? will cloned people be treated differently by society, i.e. will they be treated like second-class citizens?

Cloning produces a lot more defects than natural birth. What do you do with a defected human being? This is a moral issue we can not deal with right now.
