If aliens are real. What do you think they would be like realistically?

Would they be the crazy "WAR OF THE WORLDS" kind of aliens. Or would they kinder and gentler, curious creators?

What do you think they would really be like?

I think it would all depend on how our first encounter would be. If aliens were to find us, they would obviously be very intelligent, maybe more so then we are. Would we do something without realizing it to offend them and make them attack? Would they do something to us that we misinterpret and make us fearful and feel the need to defend ourselves. If you havent allready you should read "Enders Game" by Orson Scott Card. The way that Card talks about an alien encounter is how I see it realistically playing out.

One thing is sure. Aliens, if they exist, are...well...alien. Evolution predicts that physically they will almost certainly be nothing like Klingons or Mr. Spock. Even E.T. would be a stretch. They'll most likely have much different ways of thinking about things too. We have trouble communicating with other intelligent life forms on our own planet. (whales, dolphins, octopi, and elephants...heck, even chimps are a stretch) Imagine how difficult it would be to communicate with a creature possessing an entirely different evolutionary history. If you are thinking of human level intelligent aliens (ones who strive to understand the universe and their place in it...ones that build machines) they will undoubtedly have some features in common with us:

1. They will have some sort of language allowing individuals to communicate. However, it may not be a language of sounds like our language (as an example think of ants...they use smell and complex chemical signals to communicate)
2. They will have some sort of society or culture. Individual intelligent organisms won't have the resources necessary to build machinery or develope some kind of science.
3. They will have some sort of manipulative appendage. (Dolphins are pretty smart, and have a kind of culture, but they can't build anything)
4. There are probably other things as well, but you get the idea.

As far as evolutionary potential for a human level intelligent non primate organism here on Earth is concerned...I would say that Elephants have the most evolutionary promise for developing some sort of civilization. They have the beginnings of language, society and culture, and have a manipulative trunk. Aliens might be friendly or hostile. Because they would be so different, we would have to be very careful not misunderstand their behavior. A peaceful gesture might be misunderstood as being threatening. As an example, imagine an alien that communicates by injecting chemicals into the brains of other members of it's species via some sort of needle like appendage. Upon meeting a human, it might be curious, just try to say "Hello", and kill the human by stabbing the unlucky person in the skull with its appendage and injecting poisonous chemicals. Even friendly aliens might be dangerous.

in case you want to apply the right terminology, confer with extraterrestrial beings as more suitable Terrestrials. Alien basically skill overseas or can confer with a foreigner/immigrant. more suitable Terrestrial skill, no longer of this international. So, through definition in case you believed that Angels existed, then more suitable Terrestials are authentic. Angels are literally not of this international, they are from heaven; i wager... section fifty one is definitely a authentic position. it really is were given a attractiveness for doing conspiracy stuff at the same time as it really is totally a protection force Base that does proper secret study and progression. the most elementary study and progression is airplane which includes fighter jets. it really is theory to have this base way out contained in the technique the dessert so no one will favor to sneak round to take a height. you should flow to google maps and form in section fifty one. you'll see it. in case you've considered an angel, then convinced. i have not yet looking ahead to assembly one. i must be disillusioned to die without assembly a ET.

Both types. Just as there are good and bad people on THIS world, so are there good and bad of every world.

Mathematically, logically, aliens exist. It's really very simple;

The universe as we know it, is close to infinite in size. It's big enough that we cannot determine exactly what it is.

Now, calculated against infinity, what are the odds that WE are the only life in an inifinite universe???

Pretty poor. I wouldn't want to lay a bet on it.

I have no idea what they'll be like - they might be warlike entities... they might be peaceful explorers of the galaxy... they might be something totally strange and unexpected that we haven't even thought of yet.

They might be something so biologically different from us that there would be no need for them to EVER interact with us as a species. (i.e., they would find our atmosphere toxic ...or they might be some crazy micro-cellular organism which exists on a near microscopic level and they're already here)

Realistically, what do WE do when we visit other planets? We explore and do research. I think alien visitors would do the same. They might not recognize us as significantly different from any other creature on the planet.

I think that aliens would be just like mankind................quite a range on the spectrum. How would we describe mankind to an alien..certainly not one size fits all.
