Such as for instance kicking somebody in their butt because they move too slow for you and then you say well "with all due respect" you move to slow for me. or insult somebody and say well "with all due respect" but I think you're an idiot or ******, or moron. Where exactly is the respect meant in all of that?

There isn't...they are just trying to justify their actions...or make themselves not feel so bad about it.
My sister in law does this alot...one day I told her "with all due respect...F off". She's never said it again.

Sometimes there is just not a nice way to say certain things. They say "with all due respect" because they know what they are about to say is going to be offensive and they just use that phrase to soften the impact of their comment. That's just life.

They do it so they won't fall out with that person. You know the negative and the positive balance things out. I think they do mean with respect and they try to be honest also but also they are not willing to hurt their feelings.

Sometimes the truth hurts and by saying "with all due respect" it kind of soothes the burn!

Well, it means with all admiration, or respect that is owed. That could vary based on the person saying it.

I HEAR YA!! My answer is they are Yidiots. I love the ones that start with "I Probably Shouldn't Say This..." or "You Might Take This the Wrong Way......." or my very favorite one "I Don't Mean To Upset You......" WELL THEN DON'T!!!! (sorry, I get emotional)
