i am sorry to hear that, swimming is such a wonderful form of exercise,.....i urge you to take lessons,
don't learn the way i did,
my Mom threw me off our innertube at Stoughton Pond when i was 4 years old and i heard her yell 'swim or drown'.

not the way i did it with my kids, but whatever...........

Yup. My mom forced me to take 7 years of swimming lessons until I completed all the courses, and I was also on the swim team for three years. Water's not so bad once you get acquainted with it. Good luck though!

yes.. i took swimming lessons when i was 3 years old. by the time i was 4 i didnt have to wear floaties anymore. Be courageous and make that fear disapear. like me, if u learn how to swim , u will love the water and in the summer, swimming is all u will want to do!!

Yes I can. You have to get over the fear of water in order to swim. It isn't that difficult.

Yeppers, sure can. Back in the day, @ six months old, my mom took me to the Y and threw me in, saying sink or swim....I swimmed (swam) and haven't stopped since....I LOVE the water!

i can only do backstroke properly.
i have a problem getting my head out of the water to breathe with other strokes.
almost everyone would start learning swimming being a little hydrophobic. give yourself a little more time and i'm sure you can do it too.

Kind of. I taught myself how to swim. I just got in a pool one day and figured that I'd either sink or swim. I'm just glad I didn't sink. Lol.
