Who is the only player in World Series history to pitch and play the field (in a position other than Pitcher) in the same game? Name the player, game, and year.

Chipmaker is correct. The Babe is the only one to have ever done it, which for some reason surprised me.

Babe Ruth, 1918 Game 4.

Started the game as the pitcher (batting sixth), pitched into the ninth inning, relieved by Bullet Joe Bush, moved to LF in place of George Whiteman. Despite allowing seven hits and six walks, the Cubs scored only two, and Boston prevailed, 3-2, Ruth getting the W, Bush the S, the Red Sox a 3-1 Series lead (they would win in six). Ruth went 1-2 (a triple) with 2 RBI, and had four assists while pitching but didn't make a play in LF.
