You are under a misconception. Off does not mean off. Sort of like when Bill Clinton said, it depends on what your definition of "is" is. When you switch a cell phone off, all you are doing is putting it into a state where it does not do some functions, like ring. It still is in contact with cell towers. Cell phones, most of them, have two batteries, the large main battery pack which you can remove and a tiny standby battery which keeps the brain alive while you swap out the main battery with another. Until both the main and standby battery are really dead/removed, that phone is still ON to some extent. It may not send a signal to a cell tower, but it is listening as long as the brain has power. In most cell phones, the time is simply coming from the network, which is why the person whose time updated for daylight saving did so with no user action. The clock was set from the cell network.

The battery keeps necessary functions running while the phone is "off" If you replace the battery the clock will need to be reset, unless the phone takes a time signal from the network.

It has to be the battery - your alarm clock still works when the phone's switched off.

All these previous choices adds up to the fact. The
process of testing phones pre-emulated data roll. Data
roll is the type of transistor with storage power to show on
a phone screen, each type of device must have independent data feeds much like rss or video. This smaller
more compact screen is also much more common. The
link satellite for phones is on the ground with wave, and
also with project protein a metal substance of gravity value.

its to do with the battery.
it works only when the battery is inserted.
if you take the battery out, it will reset the time and date,
the battery runs, but uses hardly any power what so ever.

so thats how.

Cell phones are linke to satellites. Once they are turned back on, in the time it takes for your phone to power-up, the satellite has made the connection.
