What do you mean "blue greenish"? If it is really blue greenish, then your monitor may have a problem.
If you are referring as a "blue screen with the word "error"" then it is a blue screen of death. Are you running any unstable drivers on your computer? If so, this is causing the "blue screen of death"

Turn your computer clear OFF, even if you can't shut it down normally. Push the on off button until it turns OFF.
Now wait 5 minutes and restart your computer.
When it boots up I suggest you use System Tools and then Disk Clean-up
Click your browser and then go up to the menu bar and select TOOLS, and scroll down to Intenet Options and delete all the junk you have built up. After you do these steps Restart again.

Blue screen of death is a common error seen with failing hard drives. I had it once and had to send my drive off for recovery.

You should have another disk drive installed and remove the bad one. If you want to recover the data, talk to ReWave Hard Drive Recovery at http://www.rewave.com/data-recovery-cities.htm

Good luck!

I don't think it's windows. If your monitor is a CRT, then its the color drive in the monitor. It's possible that it may be the driver for your monitor is corrupted. Try to repair or re-install the driver. If this don't do it then go get a new monitor.

Sounds like a loose / Broken monitor cable to me...

Check both ends are screwed in correctly - This used to happen to me a lot when I had the back of my PC too close to the wall

Called "the blue screen of death". You have to press the on/off button again to wake it up.

this recently happened to my computer/screen. I took it in to a computer specialist and they said I had a lot of viruses. They just replaced my windows and it works again!
