Does it make me a liberal? I didn't know that.
I do know that Bush is dangerously uninformed for a president and his agenda from the first has been flawed.
When you vote this next time, ask yourself these questions:
1. Does this person read the newspapers?
2. Do they have an ax to grind?
3. What is their religious affiliation and how much do I hear about it?
4. Are they able to work with others outside their own little circle?
5. How will other governments react to this person?
6. ARE THEY QUALIFIED TO RUN OUR COUNTRY?
The last questions you should consider are these:
1. Race or sex?
2. Family connections.
One question I will consider after having Bush/Cheney in the White House is whether or not a candidate is a veteran. Those who have actually faced war are a lot less likely to get our boys killed.

It has always been easier to open a Pandora's box then to close it. I was always opposed to the war. I think this president is by far the worse thing since what knows what, and the only truth to this now is how to give it closure without leaving that country in worse condition than what it was when we came. In fact a Pandora's box. I unfortunately believe that we need to stay there for what it's worth. We leave and we will deal with it 10th fold. We should never have gone in it to beguine with. Now we are a broken country (in 2 pieces) and our poor are very much poorer and the middle class is but extinguished.
Sorry for the rant.

Ironically people chose the war in Iraq when the expectations were low casualties for "your" side, even though "shock and awe" was discussed time and again.
People by and large are selfish, which is fine. However, when selfishness takes you to that point where others hurt becomes your "profit" then you have certainly crossed the line of decency.
It is ironic now that people oppose the war, and supported it when they had an opportunity to throw Bush out.
The double irony is the people of Iraq cooperated with Saddam when he attacked Iran, which caused one million Iranians to be killed.
What goes around comes around for EVERYONE!! I just wish more people would see everyone as theirs.
That is the ony way to peace!!

When we first went into Iraq I wanted to believe that no President would ever put the lives of our men and women, boys and girls, in danger. I could not believe that a man who represented our beautiful land would hold these lives in such utter contempt and as having no value. I now know differently. I have watched him and I have listened not only to him but to others and all I see from him is utter contempt for the people of the United States of America. I don't know if anyone remembers but this man used to use an awful lot of cocaine. He even had to go to treatment. What I see is a dry drunk out of control with power, and it scares me to death. If anyone else feels scared because of what this man is doing, while we sit doing absolutely nothing, please let me know. I wonder what the lives of our maimed and traumatized will be like 10 years from now. What about the poor Iraqies who have been more traumatized by us than Saddam, how will we ever get any country to believe in us again? What are we going to do? Jenny

Everybody, who is not totally ignorant to the reality of Bush's idiocy, has to be opposed to the war.
Lets see other evil empires:
#1 N.Korea, which is more dangerous then Iraq ever was , gets the red carpet and some Billions in food from the USA.
#2 Pakistan, save heaven for terror, got 30 Billion in US tax payers money, to build new terror producing mosques.
#3 Iran ,evil empire if there ever was one, gets the diplomatic white glove treatment (mind you, with no avail)
#4 The Iraq war was started, despite the badly going Afghanistan war, its still going badly.
#5 Bush had to invent total lies to the US public, to rally for the war. He is still not impeached.

How can anyone be opposed to this war? What do you think this war is about, anyway? We have been in a war with the terrorists for several decades and refused to notice. Well, after 9/11, we noticed. We were already in a state of war with Iraq, there was only a cease fire in place that stopped Dessert Storm which Sadaam violated for ten years and we did nothing about. This only helped make us look weaker and encouraged the terrorists.
By resuming the war and toppling Saddam, we brought the war to the enemy, brought democracy to Iraq and now liberty is in a position to overtake and topple every tyrant in the Middle East. The fact that other tyrants like those in Iran have been secretly sending in numerous insurgents and supplies and killing Iraqi civilians is proof positive that they are under a very real threat from us. Maybe you don't know how much is at stake but the tyrants do!
Since the Iranians took U.S. diplomats hostage and Jimmy Carter was powerless to oppose them, we have been in a state of war with terror. You can refuse to believe it all you wish. I was there on 9/11 and watched from on board a rescue vessel as the towers fell.
That has not happened since. It should not be allowed to happen again. If you think you can allow these monsters to go unchecked, to increase their influence, wealth and power as long as they leave you alone, you are in for a big surprise.
They have no intention of leaving you alone. If we do not stop them by every means at our disposal they will continue to blow up our buildings, use whatever horrible weapon they can get their hands on, on as many Americans as they can. They will kill you, they will kill your leaders, they will kill your children with glee in their eyes.
No, opposing the war does not make you a Liberal. I makes you an enabler of evil. As Sir Edmund Hillary said so eloquently, "All that is necessary of evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing". Evil attacked the WTC in 1993. Evil attacked the U.S.S Cole. Good men did nothing. Evil prevailed on 9/11.
What part of this are you not getting?

68% of Americans also report that we need to win in Iraq and leave once we have stabilized the country. War is never popular so Americans saying they oppose the war is absolutely reasonable. It is also reasonable for Americans to want to win. Liberals are against war and don't want to win. They do not like America and want us to lose. If you oppose the war and want us to flee the battlefield post-haste, you are generally a liberal. Conservatives want to end this war as well, just as soon as we kill all the bad guys and leave Iraq in a position to secure their own safety against an evil and determined enemy. If you wish to leave the battlefield during an obvious victory you are anti-American victory and you will find similarly minded people in the liberal camp. If you want to quit and you are not liberal, you are definitely against American victory and probably fall into a communist, marxist category. Who knows, maybe even a fundamental muslim.

I dont think it automatically makes you a liberal, but I think what we are doing over there, however misguided at times, is a good thing. I know the media doesn't show alot of the good progress we have made over there, so the public doesn't get to see anything but the bad and the dying. One of my friends who is over there says there are complete cities, once to dangerous to walk around in, and the public hated us there are now supporters, and help with the effort. Even if you oppose the war and the leadership behind it, please support the troops. We can't stop now, if we do the terrorists win, and our tropps will have truely died for nothing.

As a conservative, I'm sick of being branded a "lib" simply because I think my party has lost its way regarding the war.
Is there no room for debate and criticism anymore?
My husband was a soldier and fought in the war. I'm also tired of people saying that because we're against the war we don't "support the troops."
Hogwash! The war in Iraq is hurting the troops. It's because Americans DO care that they want them out!

Ayers or The Weathermen weren't the only ones antagonistic to the conflict. in fact they have been an surprisingly tiny fraction of the folk antagonistic. So each and each of something persons who antagonistic the conflict have been in charge for what Ayers achieved too? Your question has little or no theory approximately each and each of something persons who had no longer something to do with Ayers. You even asked "or replaced into he inspired by using Ayers". It seems such as you have chosen to take the low street and forget approximately approximately ninety 9% of something persons who disliked the conflict and had no longer something to do with him or any effect from him. Obama only happend to be from the comparable community and replaced into enlisted to alter issues the place Ayers additionally lived. end being so closed minded. there are a number of greater persons against conflict than Ayers and his approaches, one in all that's Obama.
