When I make you a promise I do my best to keep it, but I pinkie promise I will take it to my grave. Are you like that? What is your "pinkie promie"? I don't want to know what you promised, but what do you call it? A pinkie swear, cross your heart, spit shake? How many times have you broken it?

The only promise that I pinkie swore and didn't keep was that I would love my ex forever. Well she left me and there will always be a part of that keeps it. I did not want to not keep it, but she gave me no choice. Otherwise I always keep my promise.

I swear on my mom's heart - and I take that one as serious as death. Lost her a year and a half ago, she meant the world to me. Will never break a promise made with that

It relies upon on even though if i be attentive to from the beginning up the promise heavily isn't fulfilled or if I assume it to be and while it is not, i'm upset. this is the distinction between, "This become relaxing. we are going to could desire to do it back sometime" and "This become relaxing. i'm going to %. you up Thursday at seven so we are in a position to do this back" --and s/he would not take place. in many circumstances politeness is an empty promise, yet while the two the speaker and the guy addressed be attentive to this is empty, then no person's injury by making use of it.

i agree with you. A pinkie promie, I have never done, but i am with you on that taking it to your grave. When I say " I promise, "I mean it, and I do whatever it takes to make it come to fruition. I am a person of my word.

I promise you that my promises mean everything to me.
I don't make many promises, and have kept almost every one except for when the person I promised something to made it impossible for me to keep my promise.
Most promises that I have accepted from people have been broken by them. Mostly by employers, a lot from clients, plenty of personal and intimate promises also.
How is your promise record?

Absolutely. Keeping my word is important to me. And if I "swear on Grandma" I'll kill myself trying to keep my promise.

I have a portrait of Grandma tattooed on my shoulder. She watches over me and makes sure I keep good on my word.

I haven't broken it yet, but since I don't use it lightly I should be OK.....

My Grandpa always told me a man is not really a man unless he's a man of his word. I try very hard to live by that!!
