How to write a javascript code using the MouseOover?

Question

I know the basics of MouseOver and Out functions such as moving your cursor to the link to create alerts on the bottom of the browser changing text color or backgrounds but how do I use this code for when I put the cursor on some words and actual text and pics appear. Let me know any good sources to look through of someone whose familar with Javascript and who can show me how it's done. Thanks!

I need to know MouseOut and once I click off the word the text and pics will clear too.

It's kind of tricky, but one way I do it without javascript is that some CSS methods are available using a:hover, without javascript, using your text
