You can make that much money with a degree in zoology.
The trick is to find and obtain that job.
Check with federal job listings, they always have postings and most list the pay range.
Do not worry about money so much. You do not need to make six figures to live a good life.

I find those salaries to be highly inflated. I am sure there are some jobs out there that pay that much...but maybe only a very tiny percentage. It is hard to say exactly where that info is coming from...are these people that work for zoos, the government, a university, a non-profit, and environmental consultant firm, etc.? Salary can vary GREATLY depending on who you work for and experience of the individual.
