there realy isn't to much of a problem just keep your xbox 360 in nice condition and that won't happen if you really want to prevent it from happening buy an xbox 360 elite (they pretty much fixed the problem on the xbox 360 elite), also buy a cooler for your xbox 360. i would highly recommend getting an xbox 360 i have an xbox 360 and xbox live and it's fun and addicting, and i have never had a problem with freezing or red lights because i have a cooler and i keep my xbox 360 in good condition.

This is the best system to go for right now. As for the red rings of death that is going on, that is why Microsoft has the warranties of the 360 for 3 years of any hardware malfunction of that nature.

But the system has the best library of games so far. The Wii, the only good games on that system is pretty much what Nintendo makes themselves, a few other developers outside of Nintendo have made a great game. All the others fail, especially with the motion controller.

The PS3 is bad because it has next to nothing in exclusive games for the time being and the online play, from what I am hearing so completely horrible and fails.

360 right now is just the best bet. The regular one with the hard drive is good. Unless you plan on messing around with Xbox Live, the Elite would be better for the larger hard drive.

i would advise it as xbox 360 have the greatest games out and will have for a long long time the ring of lights have decreased and Microsoft will fix it for free within 3 year purchase, nintendo wi is not so great more for the kids ps3 more of a blue ray player than a games console hopefully you make the right choice good luck

To be honest, I don't suggest anyone buying one. I got mine brand new 2 months ago and not even 2 hours after I had it, the ring of death popped up. I am now on my THIRD Xbox and Microsoft also tried to screw me with my warranty. Go for the PS3, the Xbox 360 is just a waste of time and money. Oh, and another thing, the graphics aren't THAT great. Good luck, and look me up if you do decide to get one, I'll give you my gamer tag.

I don't think that you should get a 360,because of one main problem. The ring of death. It ruins X-Boxes really fast. If you want to buy a new system, I would suggest that you get a Wii.

They might have fixed it, they might not. Or you could pay a little extra, get a console that works and not have to worry every time you turn it on for more than half an hour at a time.
Get a PS3.
