I have recently seen on Y!A a glut of questions based on premises that are easily debunked, if the asker would only spend 2 minutes on google. Here are some examples:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhJnY7HJ76caZnef1.KZRpvsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071112081255AAKs91g&show=7#profile-info-QVDKMlXIaa (steve asks about a woman spitting on a soldier a year ago, demanding an explanation from liberals. Turns out she is a registered Republican war supporter and twice voted for Bush)
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtVkRQw6R3OQr1VCuDyQ20Tty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071111133131AA657AI&show=7#profile-info-QGDDsMtuaa (sam ba bam still harping on Kerry's war record, when each and every citation is readily available online)
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AoIJ3PZzRzkYqUGt8_coFILty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071110171938AAGE5pE&show=7#profile-info-f1c556754a076683e4aa4d1f4211d67baa (Michelle misrepresenting NCLR and their mission)
Do they think we are equally lazy or just stupid?

I guess I'm the lazy one for not posting links to the answers to the questions that I posted links to. Jeez, do you guys have scroll down buttons?
The spitting soldier one:http://blog.syracuse.com/news/2007/03/syracuse_woman_explains_why_sh.html
Kerry's War record: http://www.snopes.com/politics/kerry/service.asp
http://fl1.findlaw.com/news.findlaw.com/hdocs/docs/jkerry/jksilverstar.pdf
http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Bronze_Star_Citation_-_John_Kerry
NCLR and their mission:

So there you go. Way to prove my point, though, guys. All you had to do was read some of the answers to the questions to find these links, but even that was too much.

or perhaps they are mislead and believe what they are asking is true. With all the noise in the media.. you have to dig for the truth sometimes... maybe we are all just too lazy to do that.

No. anybody could be intellecutally lazy; Christian, Agnostic, Atheist, Buddhist, Muslim, and so on. i became Agnostic for an extremely long term. Laziness could advise which you at the instant are not doing something and making no progression. As a skeptic myself i've got faith that a individual who's agnostic is merely being greater intellectually user-friendly. it is to declare, Why say you realize something once you do not understand? faith is believe. The question for me grew to become, "Who do I believe?". For the longest time I merely relied on my own observations so I did countless study which I proceed even immediately. the burden of info which I proceed to locate is crushing.

I'd like to think that the only people that believe that kind of slander without checking the facts are other pseudo-cons who just want to be told what they already believe. But in truth, I'm sure it works and every once in a while, a lazy, gullible soul will believe them and they'll have added another to their ranks.
You see it all over. Like the scum that still post the (LOOONG AGO debunked) "Clinton body count" myth, and the (joke to all but the stupidest among us) "Swiftboat Vets" slanderous allegations against Kerry.

Some people work under the MO that most people are basically stupid and easily swayed. If you say something loud enough and enough times, it becomes truth. I believe Orwell touched on this in 1984. For instance, if enough trolls insist that Barack Obama is Muslim and was sworn into the Senate on the Quran - stupid people are bound to believe it. So far it's been working gangbusters... especially for political heavyweights like Karl Rove.

I don't know. It seems that everybody has an agenda. You are great for reminding us to remain skeptical until we can check the facts. I don't trust anything 100% in this forum. I just use it as a way to pass the time, otherwise I would surely quit my job or go back to my too long commute or go crazy. There is nothing to do. It's always on my mind, what I could be doing.

They think that something that purports to be the truth is equal to the truth, if it can be configured for their purposes.
They don't care about integrity or what's right. They care about creating an impression, suitable for their own ends.

I think it's laziness and the inability to chance their pre-conceived notions. It's much easier to gripe and complain than it is to actually try to do research and keep an open mind.

Interesting that all the links are to questions and no corresponding links to support your 'de-bunking'.

Saying it's a lie, don't make it a lie. You aren't even debunking anything.
Straight out of the liberal playbook.
