I think that people should stop thinking that this is a not nice society and look inside themselves and wonder why they have such a low opinion of so many people. You need to do the learning.

Yes I do, one of the problems is they never get to know the one they are making fun of, the person they are making fun of is probably them most real person they have ever met. A lot of your major employers today do have culture and diversity training but it is seldom about the disabled. Its obvious that we need to be more vocal and make people more aware of the need to help people adapt to the disabled in the work place and in the public.

Absolutely! Yes! of course! There's no crime in being diffferent. the shame is in making people feel bad about it. peopel will often make fun of others to elevate themselves in order to feel better. feeling bad about yourself? laugh at lyndey lohan! doesn't matter that she's a person. Or hey! what's your neighbor doing lately? not getting the point? how about your MOTHER? bet that one hit. Doesn't feel so good now. huh? think about it next time you decide to be mean to someone. If you need a boost develop a new skill or hobby or work on something you already excel in. become an expert in something.

Yes,
however I have found most people who have to make others feel bad in order to feel good, actually feel pretty bad about themselves. So instead of hurting me, I pity them because they don't have anything in their lives to feel good about.
Also they are shallow and uncaring; they have poor values and are self centered. For me, this does not mean normal. A normal person has respect and tolerance for others, and treats every one with dignity. If you don't do that, then you have a bigger soul handicap than any possible physical one.
