Yes. We do not call it "Bloody Rip-Off" anymore,
we are supposed to call it "Congressional Vote".

Okay I get it - I read the answers. If I am a liberal, what I do is fine and cons are too PC. If I am a con, what I do is fine and libs are too PC.
A little bit of common courtesy would go a long way. I was taught not to call anyone any of the pejorative names that were out there, not because it was politically correct but because it was POLITE.
I am effing sick and tired of you all griping about who picks on who. Pray if you want but don't pray in my face and don't chew me out if I don't join you. Keep guns out of your house if you want, but don't tell me I can't have one. Don't have an abortion but don't make it illegal for others to do so. Keep your noses out of each others business for petes sake and try the old fashioned "golden rule"
And that's why I support what ACLU does, you all get so hung up on your own little issues that you forget to consider how your actions impact others and so the courts step in. If you weren't so touchy to start with, might not happen, eh?
EDIT - Re freedom fries, yes congress passed a resolution forcing their cafeteria to call them freedom fries. Idiots!
RE under god in the pledge, that was put in there as a political statement in the fifties to show that we were different than the godless commies. Has nothing to do with being christians.
RE: making us call them holiday trees - only in the publicly funded public schools where the tax dollars of muslims, jews, atheists, and buddhists are funding the tree. What ever happened to practicing your religion in your home and your place of worship and going to school to learn and to the mall to shop?
RE: Intelligent design - whatever it really means the phrase has been used as a "code word" to get creationism taught in some public schools; and because this is the USA, the school board members who tried this little ploy were promptly voted out in the next election. So while I do believe that intelligent design led to natural selection, and that darwinism is not in conflict with belief in God, I am totally opposed, once again, to imposing my religion on the publicly funded schools. I have enough faith in my faith that I don't need the schools to be sticking their noses into teaching it for me.

Kind of funny isn't it? Especially coming from the side that caused such an uproar that they got Bill Maher fired from a show called Politically Incorrect because he said something that was.... Politically Incorrect.
Not to mention that most of the PC stuff they whine about is either in their imagination or dictated to them by their hate-radio gods...Have you ever met anyone who was offended by "Merry Christmas"? No, you haven't. Because nobody cares but the far-right, millitant pseudo-cons.

No, we must every day recognize the Christiness of America in every way possible- because, you know, Jesus was this huge eomaniac and had billboards with his face on them all over the middle east back then (and don't give me "they didn't have billboards yet, he's the freakin' SON OF GOD, he could make billboards- you think loaves and fishes was the deepest trick in his bag?). If you do not constantly acknowledge the power of Jesus, even if you don't really believe in it and don't actually follow any of his teachings beyond "thou shalt shop at Wal-mart" and "thou shalt kill in my name" then you will be burned in hell while being poked with pitchforks for all eternity.
End rant.

You seem confused
Christmas is a federal holiday, feel free to call it what you want, but don't seek to prevent those of us who know what the day is from calling it what it is.
Having prayer in schools means you can pray to whatever God you believe in, within the bounds of your religion, why would anyone want to prevent that?
Guns to not kill people. Please give me a source that verifies the last time a gun shot itself and killed someone.
Orrin Hatch is entitled to his own opinion, Conservatives do recognize that black people do not need to be liberal to be authentically black.
Correct, natural selection is intelligent design, who could despite that, it's the myth of Darwin, preached as fact that thinking people object to.
Conservatives are not the ones pushing, sexual harassment laws, speech codes, affirmative action, racial quotas, and changing the language to redefine what common sense definitions of words are(example: unauthorized immigrants for illegal aliens)
Why deny what is before your eyes, unless you realize the falseness of it.

Sure, we are just as afraid of the consequences of speaking our minds as everyone else.
Your champion, the ACLU, might sue us for saying anything less than flattering about anyone, except of course, smokers and fat people, it's OK to hate them, in fact, it's a good and patriotic thing to hate them and to cast as many types of invective upon them as possible.
We need something to hate, because that way we won't notice that we are no longer allowed the "free practice of our religion", because it might offend someone, and as to all your other allegations,
Guns laying on a table or sitting in a case, don't go off, it takes a person to pull a trigger.
Orrin Hatch, just like you, is entitled to his opinion. and I don't think that anything happens without intelligent oversight, but if you believe that guns shoot themselves, then there is no reason why you shouldn't believe that the whole universe happened by accident.
The question then becomes, Whose accident? It's much more fun to blame someone, then it is to assume a rock is responsible for itself.

I think they are as guilty as liberals but for different reasons. Conservatives have to be politically correct in order to survive and not be outcast by mainstream culture. I'd love to hear Merry Christmas and what not but if the greeter at the store said merry Christmas they have to find a new job.
