Goldenrae: Here is a quote from the woman:
"I was crushed that people saw this as an anti-uniform, anti-war gesture," Maggi said. Maggi said she is a registered Republican who twice voted for President George W. Bush and supports the administration's war effort and the soldiers who are carrying out that mission.

They live in their own nightmarish reality - which they have been dragging the rest of us through for the last 7 years.

It has hordes of anti-American hippies from the 70's trying to take their flags and burn them and then invade their homes and take their guns. Then they join up with illegal aliens and walk around speaking Spanish just to annoy Republicans. Some of them carry nuclear weapons which will they will not reveal except under torture.

I'd feel sorry for them if they just kept it to themselves.

in case you have the potential to ascertain some thing different than the extensive-unfold lemming/liberal pap, then you definitely would desire to be waiting to parent it out for your self and not ask such asinine questions. As for the dislike area it somewhat is your lemming/liberals mantra. something that doesn't fall in lockstep consisting of your sorry schedule is straight away "hated" by using you and your form. And that's a shame through fact whilst I mentioned all liberals are that way it is not particularly authentic. have self belief it or no longer there are a number of a lot of them that have sturdy uncomplicated experience it truly is only the folk now mis-maximum suitable the occasion that are at fault.

Wow, are all Republicans so disrespectful to soldiers? This sounds like those religious nuts that picket soldiers funerals.

Well, there is a first time for everything, especially considering that the 'spitting incidents' on returning Vietnam soldiers have proven to be nothing but urban myths, propagated by the Rambo movies.

It's a DESPERATE attempt to "prove" that liberals hate America and freedom, neither of which is even remotely true.

I was not familiar with the story, but I'm not at all surprised by the spin the ("Liberal"?) media put on it... what a joke.

Liberals are GENERALLY communal based. The theory of communal based activism is to be "outrageous" in one's actions, to draw attention to one's self & hence forth that persons "cause". The "hippie" movement of the sixties & it's fore runner the "beatniks" of the later fifties, Jane Fonda's activism stint in North Viet Nam, "Tre Arrows" sit in's on the sides of prominent buildings are all illustrations of "radical" or "different" behavior of the communal liberal left. Spitting on a person in public is another example of this attempt to state a cause. All these deviant behaviors are done with mass media in attendance or the hopes of drawing mass media coverage. Unknown in America in the fifties & sixties these liberal based gestures were considered a shock to the public but they got the publics attention as they were designed to do. In todays "educated" world these type of gestures are well known for their purpose & are now a days just considered crude/rude behavior from the less "cultured" of our society.

Regardless of polictics, spitting on someone is nasty. But to spit on a soldier who is out protecting her right to do the spitting, well, I won't say what I think should happen to her. We may not all agree with war, but the soldiers out there need our support. Not our spit.

I would say that history shows that people who "spit on soldiers" are generally left wing nut jobs. Not sure how this woman can claim to be in favor of the President and the war yet will spit on a soldier. Personally, I think actions speak louder than words, she is no conservative.

either way - One (1) persons stupid and cruel act is not an indicator of how the country feels.

it's so very lame when people point to a story like this and try to use it for their political agendas.

I went to school at Syracuse and grew up in the area. If she's a local more likely than not she is a Republican.

However, there is no mention of party influence. Your party influences how you vote, not your everyday actions.

Edit: Sorry, I missed that skimming. I stand corrected.
