i have an uncle who adopted 2 infant girls from China. maybe international adoptions are something to consider? especially in China, they culturally don't value girls as much as boys, so there are a lot of girls to adopt.
in the US, you know a baby girl will get a good home, but if she is born in China, her chances are slim. you could save a girl's life if you adopt her.

Yes, it's possible. My husband and I just adopted a beautiful baby girl in June. We got her from the hospital when she was 2 days old.
Adoption can be quite a rollercoaster experience. There may be a lot of ups and downs along the way. We had two adoptions fall through after the babies were born for two completely different reasons. It was VERY difficult and people just don't get it!
It took us a little over two years from the time our homestudy was approved until we finally got to adopt our daughter.

Yes it's possible, but the waiting list for infants is quite long. Most people want an infant when they adopt, so they're the most popular.

Yes, a lot of times pregnant teenagers or people who won't be able to take care of their baby will look for a good couple to give their baby to, and usually will get the baby as soon as he/she is out of the hospital. I'm not sure how you would go about this, but if you want a baby, look for pregnant women who are putting their baby up for adoption, not kids who have already been born.

Yes, although if you are only wanting a caucasion infant then it's a lot harder. If you are willing to adopt an African American baby you have your best chance, since there are more of them available.

Why wouldn't it be? There are plenty of mothers out there that realize they are not ready for a baby whether it be financially or emotionally and do the right thing by giving it up for adoption.
