An Aircraft leaves an airport and it goes 4 miles North and then turns left west for 3 miles

What is the distance from the airport ?

hyp² = 4² +3²
hyp = √4² +3²
hyp = √16 + 9
hyp = √25
hyp = 5 miles from airport

there is a trig question !

Trig is the use of triangles (usually right triangles) to solve different equations. Usually, the information is figured out in radians; making it intense. (1 radian = pi/180 degrees)
There are six trig functions; the main three are:

Sine (sin) Opposite/Hypotenuse
Cosine (cos) Adjacent/Hypotenuse
Tangent (tan) Opposite/Adjacent

There are some standard right triangles; such as the 45, 45, 90; and the 30, 60, 90.
The 45, 45, 90 has the sides of 1, 1, 2^1/2
The sin 45 would be 1/2^1/2 or 2^1/2/2

It is usually wise to memorize some of the standard angles and answers to functions; if you plan on advancing to calculus.

Trigonometry is the measurement of triangles, using the relationship between the angles and the sides. In right triangle trig, there are 3 ratios that are defined in terms of the sides of the triangles;

Sine (sin)
Cosine (cos)
Tangent (tan)

sin (angle) = opposite side/ hypotenuse
cos (angle) = adjacent side/hypotenuse
tan (angle) = opposite/adjacent

For example, in a 30-60-90 triangle, you can find the sin of the 30° angle by looking at the ratio of the short side to the hypotenuse.
sin 30° = 1/2

Actually since there is no question, the answer is undefined.

The answer must be zero because I don't see any question.
