ATTENTION WAL-MART SHOPPERS!!!!! Is this true or was this guy who told me, pulling my leg to get me not to go to Wally world?? He knows I go there alot to buy almost everything, groceries, what ever I need. Did I miss it on tv?? I am not trying to make ppl mad, or violate any Y answers rules, but I am curious. Did it really happen?? I already know about the workers being mistreated, women being mistreated/ no pay/ no breaks, ect. what is the deal with that??

Well, if he told you what show he saw it on, you could go to their website and look for info on it in their archives.

Or you can do an internet search for "wal-mart, third world countries" and get a flood of results such as this:

I hate going to Wal-Mart, purely because it is always crowded, but I can't get everything I need in one shop at anywhere else in town.

I am on your boyfriends side 100 % no 1000 %. I think he might be reffering to a PBS special - Is Wal Mart good for America. Fantastic eye opener as only PBS can do......I actually gave the video to 2 Wal Mart shoppers ( friends ) and they actually re thought shopping there. Please check out the PBS web site and see for your self. Blew me away. Is Wal Mart good for America - 1000% NO !!!! The special really goes into the economic side and doesn't get into the alledged employee stuff. If they would label tha American goods with loud red, white and blue and give ME the choice ( higher $ or not ) than I would,nt complain. Gas prices too high - China is growing people and Wal Mart has a BIG responsibility for that. We call it trickle down economics.

Wal-mart is, in fact, not all-American. Many of its products are made in foreign countries for very cheap. I could elaborate on it, but there's a website called Walmart Watch which will give you more information (including insider memos, marketing campaigns, and other stuff that Walmart never intended for you to see..)

It's sad.

I cant believe those scumbags at wal-mart are trying to make a profit. HOW EVIL!

Keeping costs down and maintaining the same level of income. Surely they must be heading down the Road to Perdition...

Who cares? They're providing jobs for 3rd world countries. This is evil? And so they're paying them 20 cents a day? Context dropping. No breaks? This propaganda comes from people who haven't worked a day in their life, sit in ivory towers and spew socialist fantasies. I'll still shop at wal-mart because it's the most convenient and least expensive for me.

Netflix the documentary "WalMart: The High Cost of Low Prices" and find out all the gruesome details

all of that stuff is totally true. how do you think walmart can sell for such low prices? many corporations, such as nike and other companies use third world countries to make products because there are stricter labor laws and higher minimum wage laws in america and other countries.

Not only Walmart, but every store does this. Even LL Bean does this now...I stopped buying from them. Everything is made out of the country for profit. I think everything should be made, sold and bought in this country only!!!! Buy US made if you can.
