Fuse or bad connection in the back. Toyota runs on series circuits, you know, like the old Christmas light in which if one light went out... all the others after it will not turn on either.

It is the same concept. Check the fuses and connection. In any case, have you replaced your stereo. This could have caused it. You must make sure the new stereo is not conflicting with anything or that your connection was done properly.

If you didn't connect a stereo, check the connections anyway. Maybe someone changed the stereo before and didn't know what they were doing.

Here how to find where the short is: Remove cigarette lighter from socket. Turn off radio. add fuse. turn on key. does clock work? If it is, then it is not clock or any wiring to anything else. turn on radio. fuse blow? If yes replace radio. If no insert cigarette lighter and push in until clicks. Fuse blow? It is the element in cigarette lighter.
