Mike has a certain amount of cupcakes. His daughter takes them to school, and she and her friends leave only 1/4 of the cupcakes left. If there are 12 cupcakes, how many cupcakes were made originally?

2: each day =1 1/2 cans of dog food, so after 2 days you get 3 cans. There are 14 days/2=7 times you buy. The cost is $2.29x7=$16.03

2. dogs eat 1.5 cans per day, 3 cans every 2 days. since 14 = 7(2), that's 7(3) = 21 cans in 14 days. 14($2.29) = $32.06

1. Grandma gave the grandkids (you and your 3 sisters) $12, and you have to share it equally. How much do you get?

3 cans will feed both dogs for 2 days @ 1 + 1/2 cans per day, so $2.29 X 7days = $16.03.
