I wrote this poem probably 15 years ago and just came across it again. I never finished it because I could find a word that rhymes with Envy and even to this day I can't think of anything.
Any suggestions?

green of grass covered by leaves.
green of a shamrock flattened by feet.
green of a meadow drowned by rain.
green as a face riddled with pain.
green as mold grown in a dish.
green as avarice felt in a wish.
green as envy
green as ???

I could change envy to Jealousy, but what could I use with Jealousy?

You guys are all great and I want to thank you. Angel has made me realize that I hadn't even finished the envy line which means that I'm not trying to find a word for envy at all. I don't know where my brain is. Thanks again and I'm sorry if I wasted your time. You all did have great suggestions.

Okay, I think I got it. Angel, your suggestions were great, but the idea was that everything had to relate to the color green. I did used your eyes and lies so I hope you don't mind.

green of grass covered by leaves.
green of a shamrock flattened by feet.
green of a meadow drowned by rain.
green as a face riddled with pain.
green as mold grown in a dish.
green as avarice felt in a wish.
green as searing envious eyes.
green as jealous contemptable lies.

you should try to make the envy sentence longer like all the rest...and here's an example...

green as envy brought by a lie.
green as hope sparkling in my eyes.

That's fine...of course I don't mind...it sounds good now!!
