Sounds like the filter's gasket is messed up. Replace the filter and you shoud be fine. Just make sure you clean the block where the filter touches, and lightly lubricate the gasket before you screw it on - and don't overtighten it. This is the most common reason for filter leaks.

Good luck!

Is the filter properly tightened? If the leak is from where the filter screws into the block, then you may have a bad seal on the filter and a simple replaced filter (and oil) may solve the problem. Fram filters are fine if you change you oil at the recommended time. Where exactly is the leak coming from?

it could be that your oil filter is faulty. replace the filter and see if the problem goes away. also, do not use a cheap filter like FRAM. use the OEM filter from the dealer. FRAM filters are generally accepted to have poor quality

the filter may not be tight enough, there may be dirt between the filter and the base plate, damage on the filter gasket, or maybe 2 gaskets on it .....remove the filter and check things over and replace it clean and tight
