Let's have a look:

*OSU Football got smashed by Florida in the title game
*OSU Basketball got smashed by Florida in the title game
*Cleveland Cavaliers got swept by San Antonio in the Finals
*Cleveland Indians choked away a 3-1 series to the Red Sox
*Cleveland Browns wasted a first round draft pick on Brady Quinn when they already had a stud QB in Derek Anderson

Wow

I wouldn't be surprised if Ohio fans start offing themselves pretty soon.

I think the bad karma is due to them swinging the '04 election to Bush.

hey that election was rigged and the people responisble, or at least the bottom of the rung, are going to jail as we speak. So don't blame it on us....we voted the right way, the other side just had the power to not count our votes....

BTW...our teams are good, just not good enough...that is...ughh...where's the maylox

Hahaha. bad Karma for Bush. There are plenty of other Red States (and you and I are both swing which could go either way) who deserve blame for that one, so don't get depressed about that one... However...
I though OSU football had a better shot. Basketball, I thought overplayed in March, and were lucky to be there. Same with the Cavs, though I foresee at least one championship down the line with Lebron. I really wish you guys would have beat the Red Sox. (dang big market teams) and who knew Anderson was going to be that good? You'll probably still end up with a 1st and 3rd round pick if you trade/someone else picks up , the other one. I think Quinn will be pretty good in this league too, it's just Anderson is now a sure thing.

They are the runner-up in everything it appears. To have such a successful season up to the final game with 4 organizations in 3 different sports is actually not all that bad.

Their football championship hopes are gone now, so which board are their fans ranting on today???

OK let me guess! You like The Red Sox, the Colts, U of Florida, the Spurs, and Anaheim Ducks...Well until the next championship in each game. What a douche.

You know I never thought about it like that. Ohio really sucks right about now as a sports state. And you forgot to mention the Cincinnati Reds have been in neutral ever since the Big Red Machine rolled out of town. But in their defense look at each situation:

Ohio State (football) - overrated and unchallenged until the BCS title game. And you forgot to mention their latest embarassment of losing to Illinois then getting beat up afterwards

Ohio State (basketball) - overmatched by a more experienced team

Cavaliers - There is only one LeBron James, not five, and unfortunately for the Cavaliers, basketball is a 5-on-5 contest.

Indians - Their ace pitchers turned in deuce performances when the team needed them

Browns - Drank the kool-aid and bought the hype of Brady Queen. Now they're in a damned if you do damned if you dont situation because if they let Anderson walk and Qunn sucks, the Dawg Pound will never let them hear the end of it. If they keep Anderson and keep Quinn on the bench, the Dawg Pound will never let them hear the end of it, neither will Quinn's agent.

But it could be worse for Ohio. You could have had just one team for 30+ years that was horrible for most of them and then got a basketball team that has been slightly above average. I'm speaking of my home state of Louisiana. But yes right now Ohio is definitely not the sports capital of the world.

LOL, what are you talking about in that they had to win their azz off to get to the championship games. Now has their performance in championship matches been sub-par for the last couple of years then the answer is yes. But I think you are taking the matter a little far out to say the least.

Whatever, there's no reason to be hating on Ohio, just because you're teams never made it out of the regular season. Yeah they all lost, but they were all good enough to compete for a championship, which is more than i can say for most states.
