My mom for me. She was big on the whole punishment fitting the crime/poetic punishments. My dad was more laid back and did not care.

My Dad, when I was real little, if I did something wrong or said a bad word he would spank my bottom with a wooden spoon. While my dad dealt verbal (shouting) and physical punishment (he didn't abuse me or anything), my mom was the one who made me feel ashamed and guilty; she would give me the whole spiel about how she was disappointed, she punished me mentally. Both of them were to be feared if I got in trouble.

Mom she was dangerous and you never knew what she would come up with. Dad was scared of mom her thing was 'I gave birth to them I can hit them. You didn't do a damn thing but donate'.
When hitting became where it didn't bother us anymore she just turned to our things. If she knew you loved a specific or liked a specific thing she either destroyed it or gave it away. So we learned to behave and do what we were told.

My dad. He was unpredictable and unfair. With my mother, I knew if I did certain things that I'd get punished. Not the case with my father. It was more random with him.

My dad. He used to yell until he was purple. My mom was always defending me and my sisters.

she was the authoritative parent, and still is.
not that my father was all laid back and "whatever" about stuff, but i was always scared of what would happen if i did something bad and my mom found out about it.

My dad scared the H#ll out of me when he was mad, period... but my mom did the sme with her paddling collection...

my father. my mom never spanked us, she always said "wait unil your father comes home"
basically once she said it, there was no point in straightening up because we knew we were going to be spanked anyway.
