Edgar Martinez feels like a good choice to make, but I honestly believe at the end of David Ortizes career he will end up in the HOF and have better stats.

Nobody has it right yet. Check Hal McRae's career stats against anyone's. I feel he should be in the HOF, as he was the dominant player at his position for MANY years (regardless of whether you agree with the DH or not).

He played for the Indians in the 70s and 80s and defined the position as it was his sole position.
