So glad you asked intelligent one. in a nut shell, we are not this material body, IE; Race, color, nationality, Religion, mind, intellect, senses, job, etc. We are all eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We never die, only this mortal body dies.
This material world is not our real home, it is called Maya (illusion) and is temporary and full of misery, only one fourth of the souls come here, and the rest are enjoying blissful eternal loving relationships with our Maker named above. We came here due to envy of Gods position so He said knock yourself out. So we are here trying to to be little creators though we will never become God. Life after life we continue hankering for other material desires, and are never completely satisfied. Those who are intelligent, take up the process of self realization (Bhakti Yoga) which gives one real peace, happiness and reality. Then at the end of life they can return to the eternal Kingdom where there is no more birth, death, old age, or disease and be eternally happy.
For info. Go to harekrishnatemple.com Read Bhagavad Gita- As it is by Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada asitis.com you can read it on line. Also Read The Science of Self Realization by Prabhupada. I am so glad I know the meaninf of life and my purpose.

None, there is no 'inherent' meaning or purpose apart from reproducing and then dying.
All other meaning is 'created' as an 'after-effect' by humans.
Upon realization that we have no real purpose, we construct problems & goals and then seek to overcome them in order to receive satisfaction. At the same time we tend to seek a 'state of happiness' by pursuing activities and forming relationships with others.

The deep meaning of life is what every human being is searching for...it usually comes later in life 30's and beyond because you become more aware of your life, the world and the meaning of happiness, fullfillment and inner joy. We all want to be loved, nurtured and to be cared for and about // all it is is an explanation of who, what and for what purpose you are about.
We are all the same in one regard or not, primarily made up of self, parent, family, environment and the desire to be who WE want to be in the end. -- Hope I didn't get too deep

It is like a road with tons of journeys and adventures for you but it wont be just a single road; the will split into several ones, and you have to choose where to go. If you chose correctly, then you will come to a happy ending.

The deep meaning of my life is to find a meaning "for" my life.

Leave this world a better place than what it was when you came into it for at least one other person.

42.

:)

*seriously, if you want a good answer to such a question as that, read. Search yourself. The ages have had their load of answers. Religion has put forward its claims. Maybe your soul is merely waiting for you to listen in, too.

*Or tune in to Quincete. I'm amazed by the loads he's typed, and I don't think I'm not of the same opinion, too... when pressed...

Make a positive difference in the lives of other people as often as you can, without causing direct harm to yourself. You need to be healthy and happy in order to assist others in becoming so themselves.

And seek the middle way....
