I come to this category occasionally and lately, there's been a lot of discussion about suspended accounts, cheating, etc.
Would someone please explain why so many are griping about these things? Do people with alot of points win things? What's the big deal? Since I don't come here often, I'm just getting bits and pieces.

those who ask questions and those who answer in politics are a very closed minded group for the most part. it seems we like to ask questions that degrade those who don't agree with our own political philosophy. the same is true with answers we tend to just say yes we agree or go after the one who asked the question . you don't see a whole lot of openness and when at times it gets personal some people report the ask-er or the answerer rather then making a valid statement to back up there point.

it also seems there is a lot of importance placed on how many points and who gets a thumb up or who's question gets a star. sometimes you get the impression that we think we are paying a high price for this service and we are owed something from yahoo. it seems for many this is more of an ego trip then an exchange of ideas.

It's the principle. You work for a year or so to get where you are and have the points you have. You wake up one morning to find your account is gone for no other reason than someone didn't like your answers. OR you get 32 violations in 6 minutes when you know you have done absolutely nothing wrong.
