i was working for a bit and i went into pick up my pay and they to;d me i had to wait for more work but i cant afford to wait and i dont wanna quit how long till they gotta lay me off

i just wanna know how long till i get my record of employment with a recall date so if the are gonna call me back at least i know and i can get unemployment insurance till then and if its too long i will get another job

That depends on the company.
If it goes on for another week, contact the unemployment comp bureau in your state to see if you are eligible for unemployment in the meantime, and what procedures you need to follow.
It would be a good idea to be looking for a new job, since this one doesn't sound too stable. If you find one, quit and go on to the new job. But don't quit until you find another job, that could mess up your getting unemployment comp.

I'm not sure...but here is some advice...don't quit. Some companies give you a compensation if you get laid off. The company I used to work for was that way. They gave me the equivalent to 2 months of pay. I got a job a month after they laid me off...the extra month of pay I used to rebuild my pond and build a cabin on my property. Turned out to be a pretty sweet deal!

maybe never, they may schedule you for different or shorter workday without resorting to the need to terminate your employment
