I do not want for anything. I live in the greatest country in the world, the USA. Now, isn't that a mouthful?

Thanksgiving is meaningful to me because of the traditions and familiarity of it all. I love the same smells, foods, and family members each year. Thanksgiving has no presents clouding up the family time, there's no rush to get things done so the kids can open presents, there's no pressure to buy wrap and give. Thanksgiving, in my family, is a beautiful day to remember how blessed we really are!

Thanksgiving is meaningful to me...because...

Well one I have no school. Sorry but that's the truth ugh about time I get a break! Lol.

Also because I like spending time with my family, I mean my uncles, grandparents and them are kinda kooky but at the same time you gotta love them. So it's nice sleeping in (I try to revive the lack of sleep I got), waking up going with my family to my uncles and just having a decent meal. And I do give Thanks I say a prayer and although we say why we're thankful at our dinner table at my uncles I think it in my mind. I mean there are other families in other countries struggling just to live, and to even walk maybe but I'm okay.

Also I do get a decent dinner. Lmao

So that's why I'm thankful.

blondie.

Thanksgiving is meaningful because it is an opportunity to meet with friends and especially family. It gives us the opportunity to express our gratitude for all the blessings we received, to pray for the good health of all who are around us, and to enjoy a sumptious feast with our loved ones.

Thanksgiving is a time to eat amazing food, be with the people you care about the most, and give thanks to everthing good in your life. its one of the few times my family says a prayer at the table because noramally everyday the family doesn't have time to sit down for dinnner. its a time that everyone in the world feels really blessed with themselves no matter what condition they are in.

The meaning of Thanksgiving to me.....
A feast in celebration of a massacre and theft by pilgrims onto the very Native people that tried to teach them how to survive in this country. It means that my children will come home in tears because all the white kids at school are calling them Indians and making ridiculous noises at them. It means that again this year I have to explain to my children why we do not celebrate this travesty of a holiday. It means that I again have to help my children understand the ignorance of others and why people say such unkind things to them. It means that again I have to dry more Native tears due to the ignorance of others.

Such great meaning!
