Just me and this guy fried of mine would be talking about fate and how things are becoming TOO coincidental. At the same time he got a blank text message saying "love". How do you get a blank text message? No name, no contact, no #. Then I got a blank one with the same message. He contacted the cell phone C.O. [Verizon] they had no idea. We got 16 blank text messages last night. He believed it was his aunt that passed over a month ago. Is it paranormal?

BTW, there's no way it could be prank. His friends don't know about me, nor do my friends know about him.

ARGH.I can't talk about stuff I dunno.I generally think there's always a logical explination but who knows, maybe his aunt wants to indicate you're right for eachother aww (I'm not sarcastic)

I agree that it's not a coincidence. I think all of the "blank" texts were caused by the same thing.

Why would these texts come from his aunt? Why not his great grandfather, Orville Redenbacher or Julius Caesar?

If his aunt sent them, why didn't she say anything worth while? Is there a 4 character text message limit in the after world? For that matter, do any of the primary providers offer after-life coverage?

I have received blank texts before. Which do you think it more likely, that he is being contacted by a dead person--something that has never been documented or that he is experiencing a cell phone glitch--a very common occurrence?

Anybody who knows both of your phone numbers could send you blank text messages over the internet.
1) I would get on top of this before you end up paying hundreds of dollars for text messages.
2) Of course it could be a prank. If it couldnt be a prank why would you ask the question.
3) It cant be his aunt if she passed away. They dont have cell phones in the afterlife.

Sorry, but it's more likely that it's a prank. Friends can find out things, as much as you might think they can't. And since you're so into the spirit realm and would react strongly to a prank like this, this prank would have a nice payoff :) A second possibility is a mass spam text message which you both received. Ask your friends if they received it too.

If you really want to think it was his aunt, ask yourself this: if she can type "love", why can't she type a few extra words and not play cryptic guessing games? "This is your Aunt Edna. I love you" would not be any more difficult than typing "love", if indeed ghosts can type and they have cell phones.

With the billions of dead people, you wouldthink one of them would be able to make contact some way. They have nothing but time, if they exist after death.
If a room full of monkeys and typewriters could type out shakespeare, then one dead person could type out the word LOVE.
There are many people that have received phone calls from dead relatives documented. I would think cell phones would be much easier than using a typewriter or dial phone.
