Sabatini was famous for choking, and Jana couldn't close the deal either. Unfortunately, both Jana and Sabatini may be remembered for the matches they didn't win.

i'd say novotna. she would have won a handle of titles if not for graf. she always crumbled against graf even when she was ahead in the match.

I agree with Dylan D, neither of their careers should be considered disappointing. They each won a slam (Novotna several slams if you include doubles), but they were both unfortunate to have played in the era of Graf and Seles. Sabatini and Novotna sould be very proud of their accomplishments, not disappointed.

Sabatini, since her game was much more complete than Novotna's. And with so many faceless tournaments it is the winning of Grand Slam single's titles that is the only judge of greatness.

novotna was the BIGGEST CHOKER in the history of the game. no matter how far ahead she was in a big match you always knew she would find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

sabatini was a grand slam champion. true, she should have won more majors, but she cannot be compared with the all-time master of choke, novotna.

Considering the fact that they both won Grand Slams ( the U.S Open and Wimbledon, respectively) I don't consider either one of them very disappointing.
