The IQ of Dems? WTF are you talking about?
I assume you're suggesting that Dems all agree that humans are the primary cause of the current warming while Republicans all don't. For starters this is untrue. Just ask Bush, Gingrich, Brownback, Giuliani, McCain, Romney, and Huckabee for starters.
Secondly, you seem to be suggesting that because a weatherman (who has never studied climate science and never written a scientific paper) has a paranoid conspiracy theory, that somehow makes thousands of experts in the field wrong.
I think this only says something about the IQ of two people - you and the founder of the Weather Channel.

While Global Warming does exist, the "Global Warming hysteria" is a big scam. Businesses like GE (NBC) just use it as a way to get money out of consumers.
"Look at us we have a green week, we care about the environment. Now if you could just invest some money in these wind generators that we just happened to buy from Enron and watch our shows the environment will thank you."
What the ecco-drones don't realize is that:
1. There is no solution to global warming. Man didn't create it, and can't solve it.
2. The so called solutions on the table now could be harming the environment instead of helping it.
We can have a serious talk about man's role when it comes to pollution and environmental disasters, but the global warming hysteria is a nothing more than a hoax designed to fleece the ignorant.

OK I concede global warming is a scam. I'm converted.
So what do I do now that I'm safe?
Continue polluting? Go on a consumption binge? Waste fossil fuels? Dump chemicals into streams with impunity? Chop down forests wholesale? Exterminate species for sport? Import lead toys from China?
I guess I'm not sure what it means for us if global warming isn't man-made or if it isn't happening. Does the absence or inevitability of global warming mean we can or should stop efforts to conserve, be more efficient, or reduce pollution?
And you know what - maybe we do need to stop talking about this because its so big and so many people have turned it into an agenda that all we are looking at is muddy waters.
First the right said global warming wasn't happening. Now the right says its happening, but isn't man-made. Once the event has occurred the right will say well its already happened so its no longer an issue.
In a way I don't really care - I'm going to die before many of the worst predictions come true - whether they do or not.

It is not about their IQ. It is about ideology. Liberal Democrats believe the global warming hype or more accurately WANT to believe the global warming hype because it fits their template of what is wrong with America. They have this preconceived notion that all modern industry is evil, most Americans are stupid and that only they know what is best.
Global warming fits that template perfectly. So, for Liberal Democrats, there is no need to look any further. It has to be the case because America and American industry has to be the cause of all that is wrong with the world.
This rises to the level of religious zealotry. They believe it so strongly that regardless of what anyone else can present as proof, no matter what logic dictates matters not. It has to be true because it fits the template.
You will never convince the true believers. If the global temperature suddenly drops several degrees they will still claim it is due to global warming caused by America.
You can only hope to persuade those who still have an open mind. That is not something one will find on the left. The left in this country consists of people with an anti-American agenda and emotion driven people. One is the pied piper and the other the rats.

Opinions are like a$$ #ole$, everybody has one. Just because he founded the weather channel doesn't mean he knows anything about the weather. If we don't have global warming, then can he explain why both polar icecaps are melting at a rate unmeasured in recorded history? Why are glaciers in Europe, New Zealand, Iceland and Greenland melting when there is no record of this type of phenomenon before? Why are deserts in Africa (Sahara), Australia, The US, India and South America expanding and recording hotter temperatures within the past 5 years than they have ever recorded in the past? Why are dams and annual rainfall in Australia at their lowest levels in history? Why is the mean average temperature in the past 5 years, 3 degrees warmer than 100 years ago? Why is the mid west of the US sufferring more and more twisters every year? Just a coincidence, huh? What does that say about the IQ of the founder of the weather channel and his global warming scam theory?

CO2 is a greenhouse gas, this we know is true.
We emit Co2 in our cars, thus we know that if you keep your car on in a locked garage you will die of co2 poisoing.
Thus we are emitting greenhouse gases daily.
That is really all we need to know. As for a failsafe for the Earth, well that is what trees and plants are for.

I just love their term for us: GLOBAL WARMING DENIERS. That really says it all. It proves that this is a political and ideological issue, not really saving Mother Earth. It's about control, lifestyle restrictions, higher taxes, "carbon-footprint penalties," wealth redistribution and some empowering themselves over others with their own self-righteousness. In short, an attempt at a New World Order thinly veiled with do-gooder-ism.

Is the founder of the Weather Channel a climate scientist? Nope, he's a business man. If I want scientific fact, I'll go to a scientist, not a business man. I say that makes me pretty smart.
Al Gore was just delivering the message of many scientists. Again, I am smart enough to pick up on that. How about you?

He has a right to his opinion. But to call it a scam says something about his IQ. Either that or a conspiracy theorist. Or a conservative.
To disagree is one thing. But to call it a scam? That's another.
Climate change IS a fact (Not GW, mind you). There is simply way too much data to support it, and really not much against it. Argue with one piece of data, and there still is a mountain of more facts.
And most of the people who have a big beef (such as calling GW a cult) with GW also have little true scientific exposure.
GW may or may not be true, but Humans have had an enormous effect on the biosphere and atmosphere. Such as the megatons of carbon dioxide expelled by cars and industry (undeniable), the huge jump in atmospheric CO2 (450 ppm, much higher than the 300ppm), and of course, the record melting of ice (undeniable, if you ever bothered to pay attention).
