It is very hard to get accepted. If you smoke or are over weight you probably won't be accepted. I had mine done in January this year, I had no complications and was home in a couple of days. I'm happy with the result, the scars have already faded and they look good, plus I'm a lot more comfortable! Just make sure you follow their instructions and keep the dressings clean (clean and dress the wounds EVERY DAY without fail) and never lie if they ask you about smoking or drinking, it can affect healing. As a point, I'm 25 never drank or smoked and am slim.

The same as private practice - it depends on the surgeon. I had this done for Poland's Syndrome in 1985, on the NHS, and I have never been happy with the result. But I know lots of women who have had excellent experiences on the NHS, and some who have been unhappy with private work.
