I have some here that are even closer to me. My online friends are just as real life as anyone else. Some of my online friends already know more about me and are closer to me than people I have been around for many years.

Sometimes they are closer, you don't tell people in reality half the stuff you do to your friends online. After 10 years on the internet I have some great friends. They aren't the kind that would drop everything and fly over to see if I am okay. But I don't have any friends in reality that would do that either.

Mine are not as close as my real life friends. I have a best friend (she lives in another state) who I have been friends with for over 30 years. We email each other, but it's not as good as talking to her on the phone.

Ive a few that are closer than my real life friends, because they dont seem to judge me like some of my R/L friends do.

Many of my online friends are closer than my off line ones because they will not judge me by any factors other than what I relate from my heart. This I believe is the real test of true friendship, friendship viewed from the perspective of what you relate from your heart, mind, and soul. Have a good Veteran's Day!

I've known my "real" friends for a long time, so I don't think it would be possible to be closer to an "online" friend for me, but I know someone who's online friendship makes me smile... ;-)

I don't really have "online" friends. I only communicate with my good friends that I know online.

I often feel that way....in fact, I often feel a lot closer to my "online" friends than my "real" life friends....a lot of them are easier to talk to.
