Usually a D&C is done when you need to clean out your urterus. This is usually done when you miscarry and other cases when you may be having other female problems. D&C stands for Dilatation and Curettage, meaning they dilate your cervix, go in and scrape or suck (vacum type machine) out everything out of your urterus. Here is a website with more info.

well i am going to give it to you in plain turns not in medical turns
it's sometimes used before you miscarry they know that you are going to loose the baby so they try to put u out of the pain by offering that its basically an abortion but not really because the baby is already dead. they want to get it out before ur body miscarries
