As long as you can back it up with some practical experience then it counts as a good cert. Any sort of course is worth doing as even without the practical exp. you have the basic knowledge.

Never mind if it will look good on your CV, will it do you any good to undergo such a course. Will it enhance your education and will it assist you up the ladder to a better position in the work you do or intend to do.
Always ask those questions first on any course and answer them truthfully and then make your decision.
What will look good if you stick at it is the very fact that you are prepared to work to get on and not sit back and believe in divine providence.
