lol don't cancel your yahoo account because of that! I usually choose the person who I feel put more effort into their answer, and someone I can relate to. Don't feel guilty, that is what it is there for! Your choice of "best answer" is important so when people need to look up resolved questions in the future, they will be able to see what, in your opinion, is the best answer.

I do. Choosing a best answer is really difficult especially if they are of equal footing. Sometimes i made my choice on the highest stars one gets. I believe that is also a good indicator in choosing best answer provided it must also level to your personal choice. If indeed it is pretty hard for me, i put into voting so much so the guilt feeling will escape from you. I know everybody has experienced this. However, choosing a best answer is the most important thing to do. It is a sound judgment calling from each one of us. You give credit to the efforts made by the answerer. Not choosing a best answer or putting into a vote sometimes is very dismaying especially if there is really a great answer worthy of receiving the choice as best. After all, this is the very purpose of this site and that is to continue its fun and the exchanging of god ideas among everyone.
Canceling your account is not an answer to your problem. You have to deal with t and accept it. You must practice decision making. You must be firm with your decision and learn to stand by it. This is a very good site to learn from intelligent contributors. You will really miss the good philosophical thoughts of every individual here. Good ones and bad ones. You must learn to accept realities in life.
Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

Don't cancel because of guilt, we are all in that situation and that is why there are a ton of unresolved questions in the discover/vote pile. It gives people a chance to vote for you. I recently did a couple of questions on honoring Veterans and let me tell you that I wanted to hug every one of them and thank them from the bottom of my heart. I only got one somewhat negative answer, him I wanted to throw under the bus because of the nature of the Q & As but other than that it was such a touching bunch of answers and life experiences that it brought me to tears a few times. How could I possibly choose a "best answer"??? It was painful but I did it.
Don't take it so seriously, look at the fun, sharing and the learning experiences!

I do not feel guilty while choosing the best answer . I felt guilty when I was given a best answer rating to one of my answers. Surprisingly there was only one answer to the question. Of course, I gave my answer after good thinking but I would have certainly liked to increase my knowledge by studying views of other learned members. In fact, I felt cheated.

The good news is you don't know these people. Do people really NEED the 10 points? For What??? It's not life or death. Do the best you can and choose the most deserving. That's all we can ask. Ohh and have fun doing it.
PS. You will feel really guilty if you don't pick me. LOL.

I don't feel guilty exactly, but it is anxious because I usually get similar answers. So I just choose one of the first answers since those are the ones I appreciated the most. Don't think about it so much, people answer lots of questions and are not that worried about getting the best answer.
do yourself a favor, don't pick this one as best.

I don't feel guilty at all, because of people too lazy to scroll through a number of possibly higher quality answers, just out there to make a quick point.
So, no matter what you do, the first answer will always have the highest chance of success.

I think it's better for you to choose a best answer rather than let it go into voting. At least when a best answer is chosen I feel that the asker at least appreciates the answers they were given. To let it go into voting makes me feel like my answer was insignificant. So no guilt when you choose....just choose. It's your way of saying "thank you for answering my question"...no matter who's answer you choose!!

Not guilty, but sometimes it feels unfair because there are a number of good ones. If it's just too hard, I chicken out and leave it to the vote.

Sometimes, it can be difficult to choose a best answer, but if you find an answer that really answers your question well, there is no need to feel badly.
