I answered one yesterday, asking if Americans will wish the Troops safety and success. One of mine was removed when I asked Troops, if I could say thank you, and for them to have a restful night.
Four others I can think of, off hand, in the last month got deleted.
What's up with this? By the way, it doesn't seem to matter what forum the question is in either, military or politics. Who do you think is doing the reporting, a certain political group, or YA themselves?

Good Morning, my dear Friend. And God Bless you for standing up for Our Brave Soldiers. There is a huge group of misguided individuals. Who's sole purpose is to disrupt how Americans think. To do that, they must try to cut-off any of the real facts and emotions that Americans go by. Truth or Rights, Is not a part of their way of thinking. Americans MUST see it their way? Or they are damned!! My answer is that it's not not one person. But Kool-Aid Drinking Blindness. To steer Americans away from Patriotism that we hold dear.
EDIT- You have to assume that Yahoo Answers has some of the blame. Because they do not allow us to see who gives the Thumbs Down. If they were sincere at being respectful. They would do all they can to promote respect for others.

If which means the terrorists stay the position they are instead of bringing the conflict right here to us as they did on 9/11 then through all skill. And even if we like sending extra or no longer the troops that are there now favor extra help. I say one hundred% help for our troops and God Bless them and u . s .. i'm a 26 3 hundred and sixty 5 days vet of the U. S. military.

It's not just the pro Troop questions, or anything positive about the US that are being reported and deleted... It seems that the thought police have formed a new vigilante posse to enforce their views... I, myself, have been reported several times in the last couple of weeks.... twice yesterday... and for really innocuous postings... previously I've gone months without a violation. It really is getting annoying.

The posts you have described could have been deleted under the rule for "chatting"
You will never know who did it. Yahoo has cleverly set up a system where posts are deleted by user reporting, flitered key words AND Yahoo monitors. It is unlikely that "liberals" reported you because they don't support the troops. This group is largely a figment of the "conservative" imagination.

There are groups of users AND users with multiple user names who attack people they disagree with by reporting their questions and answers even if they do not violate guidelines.
This is why Yahoo changed the way it does reporting now. The questions/answers are still removed, but, statistics on the reporters are kept and if one user is constantly reporting another user they can be removed from Yahoo Answers.
This does not stop users from making up temporary names and using them to do reporting, but, reporting is weighted by the points also so it takes more lower point reports to get rid of a question/answer.
There is a "user" called "troll patrol" that is actually a large group of users who deliberately attack people like this. They may have gotten bumped by now, but, for a while they had considerable effect on questions and answers.
Obviously fascists with no regard for free speech are the only people who would do things like this.

It probably wasn't removed because of the question itself, maybe many of the answers were deemed in breech of the Y!A guidelines so they removed the whole thing?
dstr:
Ah, now I see.
OP, it'd be nice if you gave the full story when asking a question.

Because they're not questions, they're statements - at best they're rhetorical questions. This is yahoo answers, not yahoo forums. If that's the sort of thing you want to post then get a blog.

Asking people to do something is soliciting under the guidelines. Even calling on people to thank the troops is soliciting under the current guidelines. If you direct a question at people directly and wish them a restful night that's considered chatting.
It isn't that hard to understand the guidelines.... if you want to that is
