I think I have missed the boat for college football. As an NFL fan I have been trying to get into college football.
Next year can any of you suggest a team to support and why?
I dont live in the USA so it cant be a local team, Im a Bills fan so maybe a team from NYS?

You would have more fun rooting for the LSU Tigers. We are having a great big party at the end of the season.

i would suggest you watch some teams and pick from the ones that impress you. if ya want to look at some powerhouse teams look into SEC,Big12,Big10 and Pac10 conferences, they have some of the best teams. if you want a traditional team look at Alabama, Notre Dame, Michigan, Oklahoma and even USC.
Notre Dame has been down lately though.
if ya want the rowdiest fan base look at LSU.
myself i'm an Alabama fan then an SEC fan,but i like Oklahoma,Michigan and the Rutgers also.
one thing i think you will find is that college football is way more exciting than the NFL,i love NFL football too, but college is so much more unpredictable, and the guys there always play hard, where as in the NFL sometimes when the contracts are signed the play drops off a little. plus college football is full of controversy,it doesn't have a play-off,they have bowl games. and computers, coaches and idiots decide who plays for the championship.
overall though i think you will be glad you decided to get into college football.

College football is the greatest game there is. Instead of pointing out a team, I suggest you look at the final rankings and bowl winners from the last several years to get a good impression of the better programs out there. Pick three or four from different conferences to monitor, and you will gravitate to one or two that strikes a chord in you.

Well, I am a loyal, die-hard, bleeding red-and-black Georgia Bulldog fan. Why? Because we've been playing football for over a hundred years, and have an excellent record. Because of the names Hershel Walker, Charlie Trippi, Frank Sinkwich, David Green, David Pollack, and our current phenom Knownshon Moreno. Because of the legacy of Bulldog football. Because of the absolute love and passion the fans have for their team. Because of the English hedges that line the field at Sanford Stadium. Because the University of Georgia gets into your soul and never leaves. You should pick the team whose past and present speaks to you, like Georgia speaks to me.

I suggest the Missouri Tigers.

An always-overlooked underdog, they've surprised the nation this year with a 9-1 record and made some awesome plays. It's a crowd-pleasing team, and they're not "perfect" (perfect gets boring, anyway), but they have heart, soul, and this year, they have ability to go with it.

Any team but Michigan. Unless you like total let-downs.

The only I-A teams from New York State are Army, Syracuse and Buffalo, and they're all horrid.

Stick to an SEC team....They can have 3-4 losses and can still be ranked high for some apparent reason.

Their players can have a second grade education.
