I'm not Christian but I have also attended Unitarian services sometimes, and I've been barefoot for those. I never wear footwear, but a church would be among the last places I'd want to wear them! Spirituality isn't the main part of my barefooting, but it does play a part... I believe in walking softly and gently in sacred and ancient places; churches, graveyards, ancient castles, etc.

I'm sorry if some people take offense at my bare feet; I think how we worship should be between each individual and their deity (as long as it harms none -no sacrifices :P). I don't tell others to take their shoes off.

I wear shoes to church and back from church but I always take them off when I get to a seat... My church has plush carpeting that feels so good when you walk on it, haha..

Plus... you're in a holy place, ain't you supposed to be barefoot?

And can't today.. I worked all night graveyard shift at work.. damn hotel.

If I didn't own shoes I would but since I do own them it would be disrespectful. So no.
