I pretty much suck at social amenities. I'm extremely introverted and introspective, and tend to get "Lost in the electron" (my term), stuck in analysis about my own thoughts, or something the other person said.
Because of this, I often "phase out," and literally don't hear what the other person is saying.

I don't know why, this q. brought into my mind an old joke! I will give it to you and maybe, this can be an answer to this question..
On a street gallop, they stop a man and they ask him :
- Mister, are you married?
- Yes, 15 years!
- Fine! Now, tell us, is your wife hot in bed?
- Oh, I cannot tell this because on this very subject, some of my friends say "yes", whereas some others say "no"...

Yes, I believe so. At least I very much intend to be. But it is possible to be very wrong about what will or will not please someone else. If you count the intention and not always the results, then I'm quite thoughtful.

I agree with Alice. I don't know why she thought of that joke, either.
This question leaves me speechless, so I guess that means it leaves me thoughtless, since I can usually manage to speak without thinking.
