The concept of "sin" as marketed by some religious communities. I prefer to think everyone is always making his/her best effort in the context of a specific situation. If poor choices are made, a wealth of remedies are available. Love (and "forgiveness" in the context of bad choices being made), on the other hand, has a very purposeful and powerful purpose. Wow, that's a really hard one! My initial reaction was cats, but I didn't want to offend all the cat lovers out there; I get that they have purpose to some people. Then I wanted to say George Bush, but I realized without him we would have never realized how bad a president can be. Then I wanted to say spiders, but I figured if I did karma would send one creeping out at me. Even the bad things in life make you appreciate the good more (like hurricanes, tornadoes, crappy friends make you appreciate good weather, safety and good friends), and the good things are good, so of course they serve a purpose! So here's my final answer: Fat-free ice cream. It serves no purpose b/c it's not nearly as good as regular ice cream, so you eat twice as much (by which point you've eaten as much calories as you would have with regular ice cream), then you still want regular ice cream b/c nothing can replace it.

I don't think anything exists without any purpose....all things in this world were created for a purpose..actually they were meant to measure up goodness, or if they exists with a bad purpose , then they were meant to exist to compare with evil..For example cigarettes..for those who are smoking they see a good purpose in it, it takes away their fatigue, or gives them the prestige if they smoke for that reason, but for non-smokers cigarettes are bad because they see the evil in it..even dynamites, they were there to explode mountains for the purpose of building roads, bridges and ways, but bad people use it for fishing to kill and get fishes as prey...or take wars, wars can be bad for those who hate it, but can be good for those who want to tranform their countries for better purpose and end an old regime...or to defend one's country..see all things have purposes, it depends on us how we use them in good way or evil way....................

Judges, some of the sentences they give out are a joke.Must be frustrating for the police.Spend months on a case just for the Judge to virtually let the criminals off. They must think, why bother.

moths and the other pervious mentioned insects actuly do serve a purpose. i'd love to get rid of some of the pesky bugs that bite/sting, but if we did we'd have way more bigger probles to deal with.

I don't think there's such a thing. You just have to be clever, if nothing comes up, almost anything can be a paperweight.
