It would not bug me at all. I walk around in bare feet inside mostly anyway.

My friend's mother has this policy and I don't mind, she asked me to take my socks off so I did.

After answering this question a couple of times now I think it is a good idea so I suggested it to mom, she thinks it is a good idea as well and went around telling my sisters to take their socks off. So now we have a bare feet policy too, yay!

Yes, it would. I'm always barefoot, but as anyone reading the responses to those barefoot questions will know, many people are just as uncomfortable barefoot as I would be wearing shoes. I think people should be free to wear or not wear whatever they want, and I will defend a person who prefers to wear shoes just as strongly as I will defend my preference to be barefoot.

I can understand those people who don't want outside dirt (although I personally think a house is meant to be lived in, and I would never want to live in a showroom-type place with a sparkling white carpet). But they should be okay with indoor slippers, socks, etc if someone doesn't want to be barefoot.

No it wouldn't. The other night, when I was at a friend's home and they are the type of family where you have to take off your shoes (socks optional). I had my NEw Balance Sneakers on my feet, and no socks, and I took off my sneaks and went around their home barefoot, and they sure do have a beutiful home.

All joking aside... this is my rule in my house. No shoes allowed! You will find that everyone in my house including my children walk barefoot in the home.

No. My great uncle actually does. He doesn't like it when people track dirt or mud on his carpet.
