early start with kids unwrapping pressies, then its a couple of hours taking all toys out of their boxes which is a task only meant for professionals!! then i really take my time unwrapping my 1 box of maltesers, which when handed round there is just a handful left for me! then i dunno wats happening for dinner, we usually all go to my sisters for dinner but she not doing it this year......so what will we do??? I aint doing one!! my cooking is not a strong point of mine, anyway someone will take pity on my family and offer .......soon I hope! Then its the day of the year where my sherry bottle sees the light of day and i get a little tipsy
after a few glasses of the QC cream i usually get a lil silly so the other half tries to take advantage of my vulnerable state, at this point i sober up and attempt to sing which gives everyone a good old laugh, then its home james .......watch an old film of tv ....i might give that a miss this year and come and see who is hanging out here!
seriously i aint looking that forward to it this year it being the first ever christmas day my dad wont be ringing up wishing us a merry christmas and i wont be unwrapping a present from him or calling in his local to have a quick drink with him at dinner time........

Early hours trip home from Midnight mass.
Kids up at some ungodly hour because FC has been.
Cook breakfast about 8 am.
Warm some mince pies, and put out nibbles and sweets for visitors due to open gifts - my sisters kids are like a load of locusts - I think they come here to eat lol.
Sort out and open gifts once everyone is here.
Cook dinner for between 13-15 peeps, serve at 3pm, clear up, load dishwasher (twice) and sit down for a snooze before the evening rush.
Prepare buffet supper and warm drinkies.
Go to bed aware I will be doing similar on Boxing day when further visitors are due.
Oh dear I'm exhaused just thinking about it!

I will be up early on Christmas Day - kids will open their presents - I will cook a traditional British Christmas lunch - we are in Greece (I'm married to a Greek) If husband's family come for lunch they won't eat much as they don't eat vegetables with meat (not a Greek thing) I know they want me to cook lamb and potatoes but they don't say anything as they know Christmas means a lot to me (They get their own back at Easter) As present unwrapping on Christmas Day is not a Greek custom .. I will end up with Greek kids here to play with my girls' gifts. Santa (or Agios Vassilis) comes to the Greek households on New Year's Eve ..... I have a hard time trying to find out reasons why Santa comes to us first .... but I can't forsake my Christmas Day ... 364 days they get to be Greek ... I ask for 1 day of pure English!
As I have a children's clothes shop I will be working right up to the last minute and again straight after Christmas day as the busiest days are 27th - 31st Dec and not before.
Anyway wherever you are and whatever religion either enjoy Christmas or enjoy your holidays!
or in Greek
Kala Christougenna!

Working, I'm on nights Xmas eve & day, then off boxing day, so no real celebrating until then. But then if things go wrong someone is on site to fix things.

Well, honestly.. for me Christmas is really bring. lol
The only excitement for me when it's Christmas is probably Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.
Of course the presents, the food. Idk. I just seem to love the rush of Christmas shopping before Christmas.
To me Christmas is just too relaxing, but then again, I love it! =D
