it happens whenever women have their period

Not all women have cramps during their periods (my mom didn't). But cramping (the technical name is dysmenorrhea) occurs in some women because the uterus is trying to push the lining that built up during the month in case a pregnancy should occur out of the body. It pushes this lining out because it is no longer needed since the pregnancy does not occur.

If a woman has cramping so bad that she can't function then she should see her doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.

perhaps stress, lack of fluid intake and lack of rest.
i used to have that as well but now im over with it.
