Funny - I do that to family members all the time. (I thought I was the only one - considering my age :D)
I don't have a set role - I just call (when I know caller ID isn't available) & act silly. I did that the other day to my 'man friend' (I'm too old to call him my boyfriend). I called him & began hitting on him as this much, much older woman. He was trying to be nice - until I asked about his sex life. Then he paused & laughed. Hmmmm, I wonder what he would have said :P
He loves the cougars - He's 26 - I'm 32. grrrrrr *lol*

prank call no i use to when i was younger but now that i am older... i'm kind of against it.. you don't know what is going on in peoples households and calling them and making fun just isn't nice..
