i need to argue this statement of 'the main reason men joined the army is because of excitement and adventure' i need a detailed answer that argues it or any sources that show why men actually joined the army this would help thoroughly. it needs to be in DETAIL and not just saying there were other reasons like propaganda, patriotism etc... The advertisements used to say things like "for a great time full of excitement and adventure join the army and visit exotic places" so it sounded great. It was far worse than it sounded, it was going to swamps and marshes and killing other men. The amount of men that signed up (because it sounded great) was substantial so they could just send them off for virtual suicide missions. But who wouldn't sign up for something like the ads. That's as detailed i can do for now.
